When you focus on doing one thing well it shows. At Metro Lawns, that's mowing lawns.

Chuck Vogt graduated from Miami University (of Ohio) with a business administration degree and found himself looking for work in Atlanta. He stepped into a position with the lawn maintenance division of Post Properties and discovered he enjoyed the work.

Combining his education and experience , Chuck launched Metro Lawns in 1992 with a vision to build  metro Atlanta's leading lawn mowing company. The company has steadily grown to become what it is today, the highest-rated lawn maintenance company in Metro Atlanta.

The backstory for Metro's early success was recruiting. Fast forward 30+ years and this distinction is enabling Metro Lawns to thrive despite the tight labor market.

People Make The Difference

Mowing lawns all day in Atlanta's heat can be grueling work. Despite that challenge, the work must be performed with repeatable precision to keep customers happy.

To fill these vital landscape technician roles, Chuck Vogt chose an unconventional path. He hired at-risk young men that had been passed over in the traditional hiring process. He says, "We give a man an opportunity to succeed through simple, repetitive and structured physical tasks. Once they are mastered, they are then given the opportunity to start their own lawn maintenance business with our blessing and assistance."

Our business models offers two career paths. Some technicians choose to grow within our company structure and others launch their own venture and become business partners. Over the years we've used this model to build a reputation for legendary customer service for residential, HOA, and select local businesses.

Our strength for recruiting and team development is a valuable differentiator, but it's more than that.

"I can honestly say that it will be a long time before I retire because I'm having too much fun," Chuck Vogt says. And from the looks of the impeccable work Metro Lawns delivers, his teams share that same vision for the future.
